TALK TITLE: The Economic Causes still matter, stupid! Sociodemographic and economic reasons to understand the support for Donald Trump in Iowa: an empirical study

After an academic stay financed by the Fulbright Commission, the aim of the presentation is to show the main findings of the investigation carried out about the socioeconomic determinants of the support of Donald Trump in Iowa in the 2020 and 2016 elections. The main results suggest that rurality is not a determinant to support Trump, but that socioeconomic variables play an important role.
