POLI: 1950 Intro to Politics of Religion
Sam is a doctoral candidate studying state government, public opinion, and policy diffusion at the University of Iowa. His dissertation, "Second-Hand Policy Feedback," is on the effect that state policy adoptions have on public opinion about those policies throughout the United States. His research collaborations include work on the ballot initiative's impact on turnout, the diffusion of election law, and the diffusion of Covid policy in the early days of the pandemic.
