Biography

Born and raised in West Des Moines, Andrew Bohn graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020 with double majors in journalism and international relations. During his time at Iowa, he participated in the Undergraduate Political Science Association, the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, and interned at the Department of Homeland Security. After graduation, he accepted a job on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant for Senator Joni Ernst. During his time in Senator Ernst’s office, he was promoted to legislative correspondent to handle financial services, banking, and economic policy. In February of 2023, Andrew accepted a job as legislative aide for Congressman Zach Nunn – who represents Andrew’s home district of IA-3. 

Andrew is passionate about working on issues related to critical and emerging technology, financial innovation, economic national security, global investment, cybersecurity, financial market infrastructure, and U.S. capital markets. He is currently a fellow in the American Capitalism Seminar at The Public Interest Fellowship and is an Executive Board Member of the Iowa State Society in Washington, D.C. When not working or chatting about politics, Andrew can be found on one of the many golf courses across the DMV.
