Brody DeBettignies

Brody's research interests include women and politics, morality politics, LGBTQ+ politics, public policy, and public opinion. He is currently working on projects involving the diffusion of state anti-transgender policies, public opinion amongst LGBTQ+ Americans, and the role of women in Rwanda's legislature on anti-corruption perceptions. Brody has worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Fred Boehmke and Dr. Tracy Osborn. As a Teaching Assistant, Brody has worked on several courses including Intro to American Politics, Public Policy, and Intro to Social Media and Politics.
Brody received his BA in Political Science and Religious Studies and MA in Political Science from the University of Iowa. Prior to transitioning to the PhD program he attended the Master's in Public Affairs program for one year.
