Brody's research interests focus on the intersection between government trust and public policy creation in the United States. Generally, he is interested in how governments (at all levels) can propose and enact public policy in response to matters of public interest in an environment of government distrust and polarization.
   
Brody is a 2014 graduate of the University of Iowa with BA degrees in Political Science and Religious Studies. Following graduation, he worked in the insurance industry, ending in a project management role. Most recently, he was completing classes for Iowa's MPAff (Master's in Public Affairs) before transitioning to the PhD program.
