My research examines women's mobilization during periods of social disruption. I explore the interactions between women's civil society organizations (WCSOs) and how and why groups cooperate during conflict periods. My dissertation explicitly focuses on the formation and characteristics of networks of WCSOs and how they navigate civil war environments. I have conducted fieldwork in Nepal using funding received from the University of Iowa and the American Political Science Association. Additionally, I am interested in how women's groups interact with international actors to meet their desired ends and how structural factors shape the interactions between international and domestic organizations.
