Ryan graduated from the University of Iowa in May of 2017 with a degree in Political Science, and in August 2017 with a degree in Economics from the Tippie College of Business. During his time at the University he served as the President of the Undergraduate Political Science Association. Since graduating, Ryan has held numerous positions including serving as the Director of Government Relations for the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce where he was responsible for managing relationships with local, state, and federal government officials. Since leaving the Chamber, he has served as a campaign manager for the New Hampshire Committee to Elect House Democrats, successfully taking back the state House of Representatives and defeating the incumbent Speaker of the House. Now, Ryan works as a consultant for the Alzheimer's Association leading engagement activities for the 2020 Democratic Primary.
