Biography

Doug Zimmerman is a seasoned National Security professional and Intelligence leader with over 23 years of distinguished military service, addressing some of the most complex and high-stakes challenges facing the United States and its global allies. His career spans multiple operational levels, from tactical to strategic, with a breadth of experience across diverse missions. Doug has led Psychological Operations in support of NATO in the Balkans, managed comprehensive Intelligence Operations in active combat zones, and helped to shape military strategies for Special Operations and intelligence communities worldwide.

A skilled planner, Doug has developed and executed exercises to assess emerging technologies for both U.S. Army Special Operations Command and III Armored Corps. His expertise also extends to managing sensitive Counterintelligence investigations that safeguard defense infrastructure. Additionally, he oversaw the development of Intelligence Collection Requirements for Africa and Middle East, working closely with the Joint Staff and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

In the private sector, Doug has leveraged his expertise to lead critical initiatives as the Service Business Lead at AT&T Government Services, where he coordinated communications network modernization for the Intelligence Community. He also developed Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems policy for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy. Currently, as a Lead Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, Doug is contributing to strategic planning and operational enhancements at the Defense Intelligence Agency's Middle East Africa Regional Center.

Doug's academic credentials reflect his commitment to continuous learning and excellence. He holds a Batchelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa, class of 1993, a Master of Science in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Military Art and Science from the U.S. Army Command and Staff College's Advanced Military Studies Program.
