Andrea serves as the Executive Director of the Iowa State Association of Counties (ISAC), the non-profit membership organization representing county officials from Iowa’s 99 counties. Her background has primarily been in the political and government affairs space, with roles in the Iowa Legislature, as a multi-client lobbyist at LS2group, and in various positions at the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

Outside of work, Andrea is currently Vice President of the On With Life Foundation Board and serves on the board of the University of Iowa Political Science Department Advisory Board and United Way of Central Iowa.

A Des Moines Business Record Forty Under 40 and Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 40 Under 40, Andrea was a member of the 2013 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, 2018-2019 class of Leadership Iowa, and was awarded the 2025 University of Iowa Distinguished Alumni Recent Graduate Award. She has completed the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organizational Management and received her Chamber of Commerce Executive designation.

An Iowa native, farm kid from rural Linn County, and graduate of the University of Iowa, Andrea has lived in Des Moines since 2008. She and her husband Grant are parents to four-year-old William and three-year-old Neva.
