Dane Schumann is an attorney in the Des Moines area. His practice is focused on government affairs and litigation.

He graduated with honors from the University of Iowa in 2008 with a B.A., majoring in political science. In 2011, he earned a J.D. from Valparaiso University, graduating with honors and serving as an editor of the school’s law review. 

After practicing law in the Chicago area, Dane returned to Iowa and served on the Legislature’s caucus staff. He then worked as a lobbyist and an attorney before founding his own practice in 2021, representing a wide variety of clients in forums across the state. 

Dane grew up in Franklin County, Iowa, and graduated from Hampton-Dumont High School. He’s a member of the Polk County I-Club and the Iowa Bar Association.
