Biography

Hallee Haygood holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Ethics in Public Policy from the University of Iowa, where she served as Speaker of the Senate for the Undergraduate Student Government. Her honors thesis "Exploring the Intersection of Urban Environments and Community Well-being", drove her to pursue a dual Master’s in Public Administration and City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With a specialized focus on local government management and public budgeting, Hallee began her career as a Budget Analyst at the North Carolina Office of State Budget and Management. She now serves as a Senior Budget Analyst for Wake County, navigating the fiscal complexities of North Carolina’s largest and fastest-growing county. Outside of her professional role, she is a long-distance runner and an avid gardener who enjoys exploring Raleigh’s antique scene.
