Biography

Seung Min Kim is a White House reporter for The Washington Post, covering the Trump administration through the lens of Capitol Hill. She has led coverage on some of the biggest stories of the Trump presidency, including his impeachment trial in the Senate and the confirmation fight over Brett Kavanaugh, and has traveled with Trump to seven countries, including his historic visit with Kim Jong-Un at the DMZ. Before joining The Washington Post in 2018, she spent more than eight years at Politico, primarily covering the Senate and immigration policy. Seung Min is also a political analyst for CNN. 

Seung Min graduated from the University of Iowa in 2007 with double majors in journalism and political science. She has also worked at USA Today, the Star-Ledger (Newark, N.J.), St. Paul Pioneer Press, The St. Petersburg Times, and the Des Moines Register. But she is proudest of her four years at The Daily Iowan.
