Several students received scholarships for exciting internships this summer. The scholarships help offset the costs of travel, housing, and living expenses for internships outside of the Iowa City area.

The Hawkeye Poll is a cooperative venture between faculty and graduate students in which members help implement the survey in exchange for the opportunity to place questions on it.

Congratulations to Lindsey Allemang Goldberg on receiving the CLAS Dissertation Writing Fellowship for her dissertation "Gender and Reproductive Violence with Armed Rebel Movements." The fellowship provides financial support and time for PhD candidates to focus on their dissertation.

The Post-Comp Fellowship recognizes graduate students with distinguished academic achievement and provides a stipend so they can focus on their research for a semester.

A recent Iowa Policy and Opinion Lab (IPOL) survey conducted by University of Iowa faculty and students found that a majority of Iowans are worried about the effects of global climate change. Concerns about climate change split strongly along partisan lines and show some level of generation differences.
